Newly-refurbished suite in the Hotel Bristol, Warsaw
WARSAW, POLAND–Interior designer Anita Rosato has put the finishing touches on her extensive renovation of the 112-year-old Hotel Bristol here.
London-based Rosato chose shades of ivory and black for the property's 206 guestrroms and suites, creating a backdrop for the charcoal and ebony furnishings. She used Art Deco elements alongside classic elements as a reminder of the hotel's historic roots. In addition, Rosato used polished nickel, bevelled mirrors, satin and high-gloss lacquer to suggest the glamour and decadence of the 1920s. She worked closely with Warsaw's architectural conservator to help ensure that the hotel's historical heritage was preserved.
The hotel, which joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide's Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts this month, is prominently situated in Warsaw next to the presidential palace. The hotel is the first Luxury Collection property in Poland.
