LONDON—ME by Melia, which is part of Spain-based Melia Hotels International, plans to open its fifth property next month, the 157-room ME London.
The new-build property, the first hotel to be designed by well-known British architect Norman Foster, will be located in London's West End neighborhood near Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and The River Thames. The hotel will sit on the site of the former Gaiety Theatre. The hotel will feature a rooftop bar and two destination restaurants.
There are currently ME Hotels open in Madrid, Barcelona, Cancun and Cabo. In addition to the London property, 2013 will see the opening of the ME Vienna.
