PHOENIX–Best Western International added 10 properties to its North American portfolio in December 2012, a mix of conversions and new builds.
Nine of the 10 new members are in the U.S., while one is in Canada. Seven U.S. states are represented. Six of the 10 are conversions, including from such established brands as Hampton, Country Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express. The remaining four are new builds. The new Best Westerns range in size from 55 rooms to 155 rooms. Of the three Best Western descriptors, nine of the 10 are Best Western Plus properties, while one is a Best Western.
