NEW YORK—Gerber Group has partnered with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Host Hotels & Resorts to introduce a new bar and kitchen concept, THE LCL: Bar & Kitchen, at The Westin New York Grand Central.
This redesign is part of the $65-million renovation and reflagging of the former New York Helmsley Hotel. It marks Gerber Group’s first expansion into the Westin Hotels & Resorts portfolio and its 23rd property worldwide.
The design for the 2,600-sq.-ft. venue, from STEPHANIEGOTO, is inspired by nature and will feature rich fabrics, natural woods and soft lighting elements. This includes a curtain wall made of walnut planks, a palette of soft-colored reflective glass and a forest wall, which transitions from day to night. The space will extend to 42nd street, transforming the façade of the building.
