The Epic in Miami is part of the Kimptons of Florida

MIAMI and VERO BEACH, FL–In markets like Florida, where it has multiple hotels, the Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group has begun promoting the properties as a collection for marketing and branding purposes.

The Kimptons of Florida consist of the 411-room Epic in downtown Miami (pictured), the 186-room Surfcomber in the South Beach submarket of Miami and the 113-room Vero Beach Hotel & Spa in Vero Beach. While the three hotels all share Kimpton's brand standards, known within the company as pillars, each is different and distinct in terms of design, age and guest profile. The Epic is new construction and part of a mixed-use project, for example, while the Surfcomber is an historic, standalone hotel that dates back to the 1940s, when it was originally two separate hotels.

All three are operated by San Francisco-based Kimpton under third-party management agreements. Kimpton has more than 50 hotels open in cities nationwide, a mix of both owned and managed and third-party managed.
