Wyndham Hotel Group debuted brand in Turkey with opening of Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis Marina.

ISTANBUL—Wyndham Hotel Group debuted its upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand to Turkey with the opening of the newly constructed, 210-room Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis Marina.

The opening of the franchised hotel, owned by Reisler Deri Sanayi Ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi, adds to Wyndham Hotel Group’s presence in Turkey, joining 12 hotels currently open and operating under the Ramada brand.

The company plans to open its second Wyndham hotel in the country, the 306-room Wyndham Istanbul Petek, next summer.

“Turkey is a vibrant country that plays a key role in our strategic plan to expand Wyndham Hotel Group’s portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and better serve lodging needs in major markets,” said Rui Barros, Wyndham Hotel Group’s SVP/managing director, EMEA.

The hotel features 14 multi-functional meeting rooms, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 750 guests, a spa and fitness center  and a separate gym and play area designed especially for children.

Additional amenities and services include complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, 24-hour business center as well as indoor and outdoor pools. Dining outlets include five restaurants and cafés offering a variety of cuisines and 24-hour room service.

The hotel is proximate attractions like Beylerbeyi Palace, Camlica Hill and Maiden’s Tower, as well as Istanbul Ataturk Airport and Sabiha Gokcen Airport. The hotel also is within walking distance of Bagdat St., one of the city’s shopping streets.
