DALLAS—According to Pegasus Solutions, leisure hotel bookings for the 2012 holiday season will surpass the 2011 numbers.

These expected results follow the November 2012 bookings, which also outpaced November 2011 by 5.7% globally, following an increase in October of 9.2%. Globally, rates held steady, growing .6%, while North America saw increases of 2.8%.

Global corporate bookings slipped in November from October’s increase of 5.3% over last year, to a 1.7% decrease from November 2011, while rates improved slightly from October’s decrease of -1.6% to -1.4% below 2011 in November.

In North America, corporate bookings remained within -3.3% of 2011, and rates rose 1.4%. According to the company, the managed travel segment is expected to hold steady with prior year through January, but may ease in February and March.
