The newly renovated guestroom at The Tuscany NYC-A St Giles Luxury Collection Hotel

NEW YORK—St Giles Hotel Group has reopened The Tuscany NYC-A St Giles Luxury Collection Hotel, a boutique property in Murray Hill, here, following a multi-million dollar renovation. It is located directly next to The Court, which is also owned and operated by St Giles. Both hotels, formerly W hotels, were acquired in 2010 from Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

The renovation of the 124 guestrooms and suites was phase one of the project. Scheduled for early 2013, phase two will showcase the penthouse suite.

The guestrooms feature custom oak furnishings, leather wall panel systems and hand-wrought iron elements. They also have DuChateau hardwood floors and a custom-designed reinterpretation of a damask carpet, which covers the main bedroom area. The bathrooms feature glass tile walls, Duravit vanities and faucets and shower fixtures from Hansgrohe and Toto.

Each suite features a large wall mural made by a famous artist or designer, and the rest of the suite’s design are built around them.

The lobby features wide-plank oak floors, Tuscan travertine marble, iron railings and a custom-designed polyhedral lacquered desk.
