Renaissance Expands In Canada

EDMONTON, ALBERTA–Marriott International plans to open the 213-room Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel here next summer, the first Renaissance brand property in Alberta.

The new construction hotel will be owned and operated by Platinum Investments, LTD. Marriott International currently operates 74 hotels in Canada under nine of its 18 brands. The Renaissance Edmonton Airport was originally scheduled to be a Courtyard by Marriott, but plans were upgraded to qualify the property as an upper-upscale Renaissance.
