PLAINFIELD, IN—Brian Garrett has been named the new EVP of sales at Gilchrist & Soames, based here.
“We are delighted to welcome Brian to our team,” said Kathie DeVoe, CEO of Gilchrist & Soames, in a statement. “He brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry and will be a great asset as we seek to provide the absolute best products and service to our expanding roster of clients.”
Prior to landing the position at the luxury hotel amenities company, Garrett worked at Astor Chocolate Corporation, where he was VP of the hospitality division. He has also served as VP of sales and marketing at Marietta Corporation. Garrett’s background also includes executive roles at Seneca Data Distributors, Julius Kraft Company, HIROSS Incorporated and IBM.
Gilchrist & Soames plans to increase its staff by an additional 35% over the next six months. The 40 positions will primarily be in manufacturing, sales, marketing and operations.
