PARIS, FRANCE—Quadriga, the second largest integrator of in-room entertainment systems and network applications, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with LobbyFriend. This agreement will cover Europe, the Americas and Africa.
LobbyFriend is a social networking platform that enables hotels to communicate with guests. Guests can download the LobbyFriend app to their mobile device to connect with guests both within the hotel and at other hotels in the vicinity, to access a social stream of information about what’s happening at the hotel and in the local area. This includes exclusive deals and special offers. Hotels can also offer LobbyFriend’s social stream on screens in public areas, as well as via the in-room TV.
Quadriga is currently previewing LobbyFriend at Equip’Hotel here. The company plans to commence customer installations at the end of 2012.
In related news, Quadriga’s new Personal Media Network has won the Equip’Innov Award at this year’s Equip’ Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition. This honor is given to the most innovative product in the technology category.
