LAGOS, NIGERIA–Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide plans to increase its African portfolio by nearly 30% in the next three years.
The 30% increase translates into 10 new hotels, accounting for more than 4,200 guestrooms. Starwood currently has 38 hotels on the continent, accounting for more than 10,000 guestrooms, primarily under the Sheraton and Le Meridien brands. Destinations to be targeted include Nigeria, Angola and Gabon.
