NEW YORK–Zeno Controls, LLC, introduced a new energy-saving door lock switch at the annual International International Hotel Motel & Restaurant Show here.
Guests activate the Verve Keycard Switch, which is affixed to the wall in the guestroom near the front door by inserting their electronic keycard. The switch, which is wireless and compact and operates without batteries, turns on the lights, electrical outlets and HVAC unit. When guests remove the keycard, the system considers the room unoccupied and turns off the electrical devices or places them on eco set-back mode.
