SAN DIEGO—Evolution Hospitality assumed management for two of Clearview Hotel Capital’s properties: the 176-room Courtyard and the 123-room Fairfield Inn & Suites, both located here in the historic Old Town district.
Sanjay Patel, Evolution Hospitality’s VP/operations, will provide oversight for the two hotels.
John Murphy, Evolution Hospitality's president, said, “Our focus will be strengthening the Old Town assets by providing our proprietary tools and sales engine as support and always using an owner’s lens to make the best decisions to add value at both locations.”
The acquisition of these two management contracts increases the Evolution Hospitality portfolio to 17 managed assets, reflecting an 89 percent growth since Evolution Hospitality launched its management platform in January 2011. Since then, Evolution Hospitality has acquired the management responsibility for nine properties, including the Queen Mary Long Beach for Save The Queen, LLC; Hotel Adagio San Francisco and Homewood Suites Seattle Convention Center for Chesapeake Lodging Trust; a Calabasas hotel undergoing renovation and repositioning as an upscale independent hotel, launching mid-2013 for the Chanel West Group; and the Courtyard Long Beach development for Nexus Companies.
