LOS ANGELES—McGuire Builders, Inc. has completed the $40-million Westin Snowmass Resort, located at 100 Elbert Lane, Snowmass Village, CO. The Westin Snowmass is owned and operated by Starwood Capital Group and is managed by The Westin.
The conversion/reflagging of the Silvertree Hotel to the Westin Snowmass Resort began in April 2012, and will be opened under the new flagship on
Nov. 21, 2012.
The Westin Snowmass is a ski-in/ski-out access resort to Snowmass Mountain and is located in the center of Snowmass Village.
The extensive renovation included: 254 guestrooms (including 17 suites and one Presidential Suite), Snowmass Kitchen (233-seat restaurant with ski-in/ski-out access), Lobby Westin Wine Bar, a spa, the Kids Club, a fitness Center, new outdoor event space (upper pool being renovated into new landscaped area), ski concierge area, conference center, porte cochere and exterior upgrades including a new swimming pool.
Oz Architecture provided the architectural design, and The Ranch House, the interior design services.
This is the second property Los Angeles-based McGuire Builders, Inc. has renovated in the Aspen Valley area the first being the recently completed St. Regis Aspen Resort.
