FRANKFURT, GERMANY—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide plans to open a 133-room Element Hotel, here, in 2014, the brand's first flag in Europe.
The hotel will be owned by Bari Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG. It will be operated under a long-term agreement with Starwood as part of Gateway Gardens, Frankfurt's new city district located near the airport. The upscale extended-stay hotel's full name is Element Frankfurt Airport. In addition to extended-stay, the brand is position as environmentally friendly.
There are currently 10 Element hotels open, all in the U.S., including the Boston/Lexington, MA, property (shown).
