SCOTTSDALE, AZ–The Phoenician Resort, which is part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide's Luxury Collection, has completed renovations to its 25 suites, including two Presidential Suites.
Upgrades to the suites, which run in size from 1,150 sq. ft. to nearly 4,000 sq. ft., cost an estimated $4 million. While still retaining a classic look and feel, the newly redesigned suites now appear bolder and make a more forceful design statement. The use of textures and colors is more playful. The design, furthermore, features a mix of cool and warn tones, such as navy blue and citron yellow, to convey a sense of sophistication.
At the same time the design of the suites was being enhanced, the resort took the opportunity to add more in-room technology to the suites to benefit both business and leisure travelers. Television mirrors have been installed in the bathrooms. Forty-two inch to 47-inch LCD flat-screen high-definition televisions, DVD sound systems and iPod docking stations have also been added.
