ATLANTA—IHG has opened the first Candlewood Suites, the North Little Rock Hotel, to include the brand’s new interior design scheme.
The new design was made with graduate students at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). The concept, called “Haven,” captures the brand’s essence as well as thoughts of rest, refuge and sanctuary, according to the brand. The two light, clean and refreshing schemes present are “Nest,” with earthy green hues, and “Harbor,” which features shades of blue.
Additionally, the new designs are good for extended-stay travelers, because they feature sustainability, flexibility and storage.
At the North Little Rock Hotel, guests are offered complimentary high-speed Internet, local phone calls and on-site guest laundry, as well as a 24-hr. fitness center. Also available to guests is the Candlewood Cupboard, which offers beverages, breakfast items, snacks and frozen entrees. Complimentary coffee is also offered 24/7. All proceeds go to the charity, Give Kids the World.
The free Lending Library allows guests at the hotel to view movies in their guestrooms with a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The new Lending Locker concept is also offered at the property, in pilot mode. Guests can borrow items such as extra lighting, small kitchen appliances and desk fans on the honor system.
Candlewood Suites guestrooms feature studio or one-bedroom suites with a full kitchen, recliner, workspace with a desk chair and overhead lighting.
