IRVINE, CA—R.D. Olson Development has broken ground on the $60-million, mixed-use hotel and retail development Tustin Pacific Center.
The property features 196,000 sq. ft., two 4-story hotels, a 149-room Residence Inn by Marriott and a 145-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Additionally, the property includes a 16,180-sq.-ft. retail center with restaurants and business service retail users.
The hotels feature the fourth and latest design concepts by Marriott and are the first of their kind in the state. They offer outdoor areas with pools, spas, fire pits and a sports court, as well as exercise rooms, convenience markets, breakfast areas, business centers and a shared 2,950 sq. ft. of meeting space.
The retail center is for business travelers and area residents, offering restaurants, coffee shops, banks, business service providers and other retailers.
R.D. Olson Development will retain ownership of the hotels upon completion, projected in August 2013, and Marriott International will provide management services. Tustin Pacific Center was designed by Gene Fong Associates, with interior architecture by Johnson Brand Design Group, Inc. and construction supplied by R.D. Olson Construction.
