MILWAUKEE—Marcus Hotels & Resorts has completed renovations of the Monarch Lounge in the Hilton Milwaukee, here.

The company restored the hotel’s lobby lounge to be reminiscent of classic cocktail lounges. The new Monarch Lounge features an art deco-style bar design.

The renovation also covered 3,800 sq. ft. of seating areas, workstations and a media center. A stone and metal fireplace was added to the south wall. An interactive media work area was added to the north end with touch-screens, iPads, a magazine stand and printer.

Several large windows on the east side have been uncovered. Openings have also been added to overlook the upper and lower lobbies. In the lounge, renovations entailed wood architecture, leather furniture and a new floor covering and fixtures reminiscent of the hotel’s original 1920s style.

The lounge marks one of the last phases in a multimillion-dollar renovation of the guestrooms, lobby, public spaces and fitness center, among other facilities. The renovations are in an effort to restore the hotel to reflect its original style.
