MCLEAN, VA—Homewood Suites by Hilton has opened a property in Joplin, MO, which features the new Generation 9 (Gen9) design prototype.
The hotel features 4 stories and 97 suites, of which there are studio and one-bedroom suites. It is owned by Joplin Hospitality Partners and managed by the McHugh Hospitality Group.
The new Gen9 prototype features a smaller footprint (overall by 20%, and a smaller building by 12%); reduced construction costs by 10-15%, which translate to lower savings at 4-6% per key; a new room design featuring L-shaped suites to maximize space; and a contemporary design featuring residential materials and amenities.
The hotel offers complimentary breakfast in the “Lodge,” the hospitality center, and a 24-hr. on-site pantry. Additionally, the hotel offers a heated salt-water pool, putting green, fitness center, 24-hr. business center and 735 sq. ft. of meeting space.
