LOS ANGELES–Seven transactions over $10 million each or roughly 27% of the national total in the second quarter of 2012 took place in California, according to data compiled by LW Hospitality Advisors, LLC.
Heading the list was Loews Hotels & Resorts' acquisition from the CIM Group of the Renaissance Hotel & Spa in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles.
The remaining six transactions were the Marriott Del Mar in San Diego, Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge in Emeryville, Hotel Milano in San Francisco, Inn at Rancho Santa Fe in Rancho Santa Fe, Embassy Suites in Valencia and Colony Palms in Palm Springs.
