WELIGAMA, SRI LANKA–Marriott International has agreed to open the 200-room Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa here in 2014.
The beachfront resort will be owned by Weligama Hotel Properties, Ltd., a subsidiary of East West Properties, LLC. It will be Marriott International's first property on this Indian Ocean island. The hotel will feature three restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool with pool bar, meeting room, full-service spa and fitness center.
