BETHESDA, MD–Marriott International second-quarter RevPAR increased 6.7% compared to the same quarter in 2011.
ADR increased 4.1% during the period.
The company opened more than 5,000 guestrooms during the quarter across its various brands around the world. More than 1,300 of these guestrooms were converted from competing brands. Meanwhile, more than 2,700 of these new guestrooms were located in international markets, reflecting the company's aggressive global development.
