MCLEAN, VA—Hilton Worldwide and Rim Hospitality have opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown, a conversion of the former Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens.

A multi-million-dollar renovation of the former hotel is almost complete. The property, which Rim Hospitality also will manage, features a Japanese-inspired rooftop garden. The Kyoto Gardens, as they are now known in honor of the hotel's previous name, have been updated.

The hotel features 434 guestrooms and suites, indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, business center and fitness centers, all of which have been upgraded during the renovation.

The renovated look is intended to highlight the energy of downtown Los Angeles with contemporary and comfortable decor, in addition to vibrant color combinations and a natural wood palette. Earth tones have been incorporated into the new carpet and wall treatments.

Additionally, guestrooms now offer guests the DoubleTree by Hilton signature Sweet Dreams bed, 42-in. flat-screen LCD TVs, ergonomic work desks and chairs and high-speed Internet. Bathrooms now feature new wall treatments, granite countertops, custom-made vanity tables and Crabtree & Evelyn amenities.

The hotel offers 15,000 sq. ft. of conference space. A self-service business center offers a printing service that allows guests to print from their rooms.
