ORLANDO—Universal Parks & Resorts and Loews Hotels & Resorts will build a new on-site hotel development at Universal Orlando, the Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
The property will feature 900 family suites that sleep six with kitchen areas, as well as 900 standard guestrooms with moderate- and value-priced accommodations.
The hotel will open in 2014 and will be operated by Loews Hotels & Resorts. Its theme will evoke "driving vacations," featuring a hip, vintage vibe with bold designs, clean lines and bright, period colors such as neon. There will be two themed pool areas.
The property will be built on a 37-acre site within the resort, next to Universal’s Islands of Adventure. The hotel will provide early park admission and resort-wide charging privileges.
