CHESAPEAKE, VA—The Development Division of LTD Hospitality Group has completed renovations on the 140-room Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Norfolk in Virginia.
The hotel now features the brand’s new Refreshing Business lobby concept, which allows travelers to work and socialize on the road, as well as renovated guestrooms, meeting rooms and corridors. Additionally, the fitness facility and pool has been redone.
The contemporary, redesigned lobby features a palette of blue, green, orange and red. The front desk has been replaced with separate welcome pedestals, allowing more flexibility for the staff. Additionally, a communal table, private booths with HD TVs and a semi-enclosed lounge area have been added. The GoBoard has also been added, a 52-in. LCD touch screen with local information, maps and weather, as well as news, business and sports headlines.
The hotel also offers WiFi and electric outlets throughout the lobby. The business library features computer terminals, free printers and separate computer stations so guests may print boarding passes and check flight status.
Additionally, the hotel features the restaurant The Bistro and the MarketTM, a 24/7 shop for snacks, beverages and such.
