Greg Gooding is the new general manager at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa.
HENDERSON, NV—Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa, a Pyramid Resort Group property, appointed two hospitality veterans to lead the newly rebranded destination resort here. Greg Gooding is the new general manager and Jeffrey Spaccio is the new director of sales.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Gooding is responsible for all operations at the 493-room Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa. He previously served as GM at the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld, a 1,094-room property managed by Pyramid Hotel Group. Prior to that he served as GM at South Seas Island Resort, a 330-acre luxury property on Captiva Island, FL, where he led 500 employees through an 18-month, multimillion-dollar revitalization and rebranding following extensive damage caused by Hurricane Charley. Gooding also spent nearly a decade with Wyndham Worldwide, managing luxury properties across North America and the Caribbean.
Spaccio is responsible for all sales efforts at Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa, including creating innovative strategies to draw group clientele to the property's 90,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. Spaccio arrived in Henderson from Miami, where he spent the past 15 months working with Pyramid Hotel Group, first as director of sales and marketing at Hilton Miami Downtown, then as director of sales and marketing-special projects for the hotel management firm.
Previously, Spaccio held an array of sales management positions at hotel and resort properties within Florida. He was area director of sales and marketing at Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront and Doubletree Guest Suites Melbourne Beach Oceanfront; and director of sales and marketing at Doubletree Hotel Coconut Grove and Doubletree Grand Hotel-Biscayne Bay. He got his start in the hospitality industry as a sales manager for Hilton Melbourne at Rialto Place.
