LOS ANGELES—Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica has renovated all 310 guestrooms, the penthouse ballroom, lobby lounge and public spaces. Andrea Dawson has designed the interiors.
The lobby now features wood floors and contemporary living room seating to evoke California beaches with a palette of sand, cream, coral and blue.
The guestrooms feature blues and grays in the palette to emulate the Santa Monica sky and sea. The rooms have retro floor lamps, white lacquered mirrors and floor-to-ceiling patent leather headboards. Additionally, there are wallcoverings and fabrics inspired by California, as well as a gallery of images that captures the beach community’s history.
There are four room types—traditional, deluxe, club level and junior suites—that feature Sweet Sleeper beds, flat-screen TVs, high-speed Internet and digital safes. Bathrooms feature marble floors, chrome hardware and rain-style showerheads.
The penthouse-level ballroom, Santa Monica’s only rooftop space, features glass chandeliers that are inspired by a blooming flower, Spanish wool carpets and walls of windows farmed with sheer fabric.
