The Holiday Inn Express Maceio Ponta Verde is IHG's 19th HiEx in Latin America and the Caribbean.
MACEIO PONTA VERDE, BRAZIL— IHG is continuing its expansion in Brazil, opening the Holiday Inn Express Maceio Ponta Verde here.
Owned and managed by MC3 Imóveis Ltda., the new-build, 160-room hotel is located one block from Ponta Verde beach in Maceió, the capital of the coastal state Alagoas, in Northeast Brazil.,
The Holiday Inn Express Maceio Ponta Verde’s interior is decorated with a collection of local artworks and folk-art inspired crafts from the area. The property also features an array of amenities, including free high-speed wireless Internet connections throughout the hotel and four meeting rooms, totaling 1,614 sq. ft. and a 100-person capacity. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center and business center.
Guest rooms feature queen- or king-size beds and a sitting area with a lounge chair, large desks with ergonomic chairs, free high-speed Internet.
The property is close to several historic attractions, museums and restaurants. Among the city’s main attractions are the Theo Brandao Museum, the Craft Fair in Pajuçara and the EcoPark Water Maceió, one of the largest water parks in Alagoas. Also near the hotel is the Ruth Cardoso Convention Center.

The Holiday Inn Express Maceio Ponta Verde is IHG’s 19th Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Latin America and the Caribbean, and IHG’s 79th in the region, inclusive of all brands.
IHG currently has 13 hotels in nine cities in Brazil, including one InterContinental hotel, two Crowne Plaza hotels, one Staybridge Suites, five Holiday Inns and four Holiday Inn Express properties. IHG currently has five hotels under development in Brazil that are slated to open in the next two years.
