CHICAGO—Hyatt Hotels Corporation has broken ground on the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Nebraska, the Hyatt Place Omaha Downtown/Old Market. The investment will total roughly $27 million. Hyatt will own and manage the property.
The hotel, which will be located in Omaha’s arts-and-entertainment center, will generate 50 full-time jobs upon opening. It will feature 159 rooms in a stand-alone, 10-story structure with self-contained parking.
The property will open in 2014.
