Pittsburgh's Priory Hotel
PITTSBURGH, PA–The historic Priory Hotel here has completed an expansion that added 17 rooms in a newly constructed wing, bringing the room count to 42.
In addition, the expansion project added 600 square feet of new meeting space, a larger fitness center, and an elevator to the property. The addition of the elevator makes the building accessible to guests with disabilities. Other improvements to the property include a new tavern and an upgraded courtyard garden.
The hotel is located in Pittsburghs quickly gentrifying North Side historic neighborhood of Deutschtown. It is in walking distance to the Andy Warhol Museum and other tourist attractions.
The Priorys original building dates to 1888, when it was built as a home for Benedictine priests serving the local parish. It has been owned and managed by two generations of the Graf family. The cost of the expansion and other improvements wasnt disclosed.
