HOUSTON - HospitalityLawyer.com, in coordination with the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, will host the first-ever Global Congress on Legal, Safety, and Security Solutions in Travel.
The Global Congress, scheduled for August 25-28 here, will focus on the legal, safety, and security issues and solutions for the global travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. CNN termed 2010 the year of the "angry traveler," citing the stranded travelers on the Carnival cruise ship, increased screening and pat downs at airports, and the travel disruptions caused by the volcanic ash in Europe. The Global Congress will address all of these issues in presentations by leading travel, tourism, and hospitality experts from around the world.
General sessions will address issues such as "The Medias Role in Creating and Sustaining a Travel Crisis," "Human Trafficking: Is the Travel Industry Enabling It?," and "The Debate: Screening vs. Personal Privacy." It will also feature in-depth vertical sessions, including Lodging, Venues and Events: Employee and Property Protection, Business Travel and Leisure Travel & Tourism.
