LONG ISLAND CITY, NY—Country Inns & Suites by Carlson last night officially opened its newest location here with a ribbon cutting that included executives from Carlson as well as the ownership group, Krishna Hospitality, LLC.

Those on hand for the opening of the 133-room property included Thorsten Kirschke, executive vp of COO Carlson Hotels, the Americas; Steve Mogck, executive vp and COO for Country Inns & Suites by Carlson; and Kaushik Patel, general manager and managing partner for the property.

"We are pleased to now offer our customers exceptional value and convenient location for their leisure and business travel needs in New York," said Kirschke in a statement.
