ORLANDO—The former International Plaza Resort and Spa here has been transformed and converted into the Doubletree Resort Orlando-International Drive following a $35-million renovation conducted by owner UrbanAmerica and manager Pyramid Hotel Group, LLC. The 1,094-room, 28-acre hotel is the largest Doubletree in the world.
The hotel features a Balinese-inspired theme with dark-wood furnishings and Indonesian design accents against a tropical landscape.
The property offers three pools, three dining options, an upscale bar, 60,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, a business center and a children’s game lounge.
