ORLANDO—Orange Lake Resorts, a vacation resort developer that operates ten properties, closed on a transaction with English Garden LV LLC to expand its portfolio to include Colonial Crossings Resort in Williamsburg, VA. According to the company, it intends for the hotel to become a part of the Holiday Inn Club Vacations brand in early 2014.
The 120-unit resort, located eight miles from historic Williamsburg, offers an outdoor pool, business center, fitness center, arcade, outdoor patio area, meeting space, complimentary WiFi and daily resort activity programming.
According to Orange Lake Resorts, it will commit more than $8 million over the next year to updates to the interior of the resort. In addition, an unused building will be renovated with new villas and furnishings. The top two floors will feature Signature Collection villas, with granite countertops, deluxe kitchen appliances and enhanced interior décor. The company also plans to construct a new amenity building.
