TORONTO—Kempinski Hotels plans to open the Kempinski Hotel Nay Pyi Taw, which represents the company's first hotel in Myanmar.
The 141-room and suite hotel is scheduled to open on Nov. 1, in time for the first ASEAN Summit to be held in the country. The newly built property, which is spread over four villas, is located near the Myanmar International Convention Center.
"Our mission and our promise is to make the property the most luxurious hotel in Myanmar," stated Franck Droin, general manager of the hotel. "We are confident that Nay Pyi Taw will soon be a popular destination with international leisure and business travelers seeking a relaxing alternative to Yangon."
