NEW YORK—The William, a 33-room extended stay hotel, is slated to open here this winter at 24 E. 39th St between Park and Madison Aves.
Purchased by Shlomo Bakhash of the Kash Group for $9 million last year, the property formerly housed the Williams Club, a university club for alumni of Williams College, and is undergoing an $11 million transformation.
Over the past 26 years, Bakhash has owned and operated a portfolio of more than 30 commercial and residential properties. The William is the developer’s foray into the hospitality sector.
Bakhash tapped Warner Hospitality to manage the property. The company is developing a service program that delivers a curated and detail-oriented guest experience. This program will include partnerships with local businesses, as well as the development of a private concierge membership program.
