ATLANTA—IHG plans to open a Hotel Indigo in the Chicago suburb of Naperville in 2015.
This is the second Hotel Indigo signing in the Chicago market this year, with a hotel expected to open in the Millennium Park area in late 2014.
The Hotel Indigo Naperville hotel, owned by Marquette Companies, LLC, will be managed by IHG.
Planned on the Naperville Riverwalk, the hotel is expected to be an anchor for the mixed-use retail, restaurant and office development on the south end of Naperville’s central business district. There are currently planned expansions to the Riverwalk, including an art wall and a staircase patterned after the Spanish Steps in Rome.
With 160 guestrooms, including Riverfront King Suites and Honeymoon Suites, the hotel also will feature a second-floor lobby with a Great Room and fireplace, a bistro-style dining area and a wine bar. Other amenities will include a fitness center, banquet accommodations, three meeting rooms and a rooftop restaurant.
Marquette Companies plans to involve the Naperville Heritage Society in bringing the area’s history and culture to life within the hotel space via interior designs and signature murals.
