CHICAGO—Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened Hyatt Place Washington DC/US Capitol, the first Hyatt Place in the nation’s capital.
The hotel is located in the northern portion of the NoMa district. It is situated north of the Capitol Building, Smithsonian Institution, Union Station and the White House.
The property offers 200 rooms with a 42-in. HDTV, Hyatt Grand Bed and Cozy Corner sectional sofa. Additional amenities include free WiFi; complimentary breakfast; 1,600 sq. ft. of high-tech meeting and function space; a 24/7 Gallery Menu with made-to-order entrees and appetizers; and a Coffee to Cocktails Bar that features specialty coffees and premium beers, wines and cocktails.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
