The property, a choice for University of Illinois visitors, features 145 rooms with a swiveling 42-in. Robert Habeeb, president of First Hospitality Group, stated, “We are excited to be bringing the Hyatt Place brand to such a thriving and vibrant community like Champaign. We are confident that Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana will bring a new standard to the area and will provide a perfect mix of style, service and amenities that will exceed guest expectations.”
“The Hyatt Place brand was designed for a lifestyle, not a demographic, and as a result, we are confident that everyone from business travelers to students’ parents will appreciate the open, intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as free WiFi and 24-hr. food offerings,” said GM Victor Patterson.
