HUNTSVILLE, AL—Homewood Suites by Hilton, opened its newest property, Homewood Suites by Hilton Huntsville - Downtown, Alabama located here.
The four-story hotel is the seventh Homewood Suites property in the state of Alabama and is the second in the city of Huntsville. The hotel features 101 suites, and is owned by Huntsville Hotels III LLC, and managed by PHD Hotels, Inc.
“As a hub for aerospace, science and technology industries, a center for military operations, and home of a leading tourist attraction, Huntsville's downtown area is a prime location for a Homewood Suites,” stated Vickie Thrower, general manager, Homewood Suites Huntsville - Downtown. “We look forward to providing guests with a home away from home experience when they visit the Rocket City."
Huntsville is home to the 38,000-acre Redstone Arsenal, a science and technology business park; Cummings Research Park; and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. The hotel is situated directly across from Huntsville Hospital and less than one mile from the Von Braun Civic Center and Propst Arena. Nearby attractions include the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Huntsville Museum of Art, the Early Works Museum and Huntsville Train Depot.
