Hilton Opens Second DoubleTree in Malaysia

JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA—Hilton Worldwide has opened DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru located here, the company’s second property in Malaysia.
The upscale, full-service hotel is located in Iskandar Region, within Johor Bahru’s Central Business District. The property offers 335 guestrooms, including 52 suites. Each room offers wireless Internet access, signature Sweet Dreams by DouleTree bedding, in-room work space, a 40-in. LCD TV and a walk-in rain shower. Executive rooms and suites offer access to the Executive Lounge that serves complimentary breakfast, evening drinks and canapés. One- and two-bedroom apartment-style suites feature a living room, dining area, kitchenette and laundry facilities.
The hotel offers 2,140 sq. m. of events and meetings space with 10 function rooms that include two divisible ballrooms, coffee break areas, outdoor function areas, a business center and wedding events consultation center. A multi-level parking garage is also available.
Four dining and entertainment options are available: Makan Kitchen, the all-day dining restaurant with a mix of local cuisine prepared in four show kitchens; Tosca, an Italian trattoria and bar; The Food Store, offering gourmet takeout and a space for casual meetings; and Axis Lounge, which offers a spot to relax, according to the company, and a drink menu.
Additional amenities include an outdoor pool and 24-hour fitness center with steam rooms and Jacuzzis.
