Hampton Hotels Expands into Downtown Des Moines

MCLEAN, VA—Hampton Hotel’s 131-room Hampton Inn & Suites Des Moines Downtown has opened.
The hotel is owned by Waterfront Lodging, Inc. and managed by Hawkeye Hotels, Inc.
Amenities in the guestrooms include free WiFi, a microwave, refrigerator and LCD flat-screen TV. Suites with a sleeper sofa and additional space are also available.
The property features Hampton’s Perfect Mix Lobby with a variety of seating and lighting options.
John Hansen, the hotel’s general manager, said, “Guests traveling to Des Moines will find the downtown area has plenty of activities to partake in such as the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden and Pappajohn Sculpture Park. The addition of our hotel with our welcoming staff will only add to the overall experience of what makes downtown Des Moines an appealing tourist location.”
