BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has opened its first Four Points by Sheraton brand here.
Owned by Felicity Hotel Ply Ltd., the property is the first globally branded, new build property to open in the city's Central Business District in more than a decade. It is the brand's fourth hotel in Australia.
Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane will 246 guestrooms and is located in a 32-story tower designed by Brisbane-based Noel Robinson Architects in the heart of the city. It also offers 3,358 square feet of meeting space.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
