SAN DIEGO—The Crowne Plaza Hanalei San Diego began a multimillion dollar makeover of its property last month to be completed by November 2014.
Managed by HMG Hotels, the hotel will stay open during the refresh. The enhancements will include energy-efficient lighting and updated seating throughout, as well as upgrades to the porte-cochère entrance with stone pillars and draping cloth sails. The lobby area will be upgraded with new furniture, wallpaper and marble flooring.
On-site eatery The Islands Sushi & PuPu Bar will undergo a transformation that highlights open seating connected to the lobby. The Islands Restaurant and hotel guestrooms will be completely upgraded.
