BANGKOK— With the signing of a new hotel in the bustling business hub of Tangerang, West Java, Best Western International (BWI) has continued its expansion in Indonesia.
Set to open in the fourth quarter of 2013, the seven-story Best Western Serpong has 196 guestrooms, including 12 suites. Built in 2012, the guestrooms will have flat-screen LCD TVs with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, minibars and private balconies. The hotel will also have a fitness center, outdoor swimming pool and a full service restaurant and lounge.
“West Java is booming. Jakarta and its fast-emerging satellite cities, such as Tangerang and Bogor, are becoming key business hubs in Southeast Asia. Best Western is delighted to be able to serve this fast-growing market with a range of modern, quality business and leisure hotels,” stated Glenn de Souza, BWI’s VP International Operations, Asia & the Middle East.
BWI currently operates one hotel in the Greater Jakarta area, the Best Western Mangga Dua Hotel & Residence, but the company plans to launch at least seven more properties in the area between now and 2015.
