Select Registry Taps Jay Karen As New CEO

MARHSALL, MI—Jay Karen has been appointed as the new CEO of Select Registry, a portfolio of 325 premier inns, B&Bs and small boutique hotels throughout North America.
Karen previously served as president and CEO of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII), the industry's largest association of owners of inns and bed and breakfast. With PAII, Karen oversaw all aspects of the 2,000 member association. Earlier in his career, Karen held leadership positions with the National Golf Course Owners Association.
"I am delighted to be part of Select Registry," he stated. "I look forward to building consumer awareness of this group and discovering and inviting more properties to be part of this portfolio of extraordinary inns."

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
