Red Roof Inn Names Phil Hugh as Chief Development Officer

COLUMBUS, OH—Red Roof Inn has named Phil Hugh, Chief Development Officer, effective immediately. Hugh brings almost 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the position. Previously he was EVP, Worldwide Franchise Sales, Realogy Franchise Group in Parsippany, NJ.
“Phil brings a proven combination of strong franchise sales, portfolio management, branding, and mergers and acquisitions experience and skills to Red Roof Inn,” stated Andrew Alexander, President, Red Roof Inn. His experience is paramount to our future goals and our vision of how expansive, inclusive and successful our franchise organization can be in this highly competitive sector.”
Prior to his role as EVP, Worldwide Franchise Sales with Realogy Franchise Group, Hugh led strategic development as president and CEO of Development Opportunity Corporation where he was responsible for daily operations, acquisitions and new development for hotel, commercial and mixed-use facilities.
