Red Lion Bolsters Development, Marketing Teams

SPOKANE, WA—Red Lion Hotels Corporation has bolstered its lodging development and marketing teams with the addition of David Attardi, Angela Rowe and Sarah Frank as part of its plans to expand coast to coast.
Attardi joined the company as regional VP, lodging development and will be based in Washington, DC. His responsibilities include attracting new franchise properties into the Red Lion portfolio. Attardi most recently served as VP at B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group.
Rowe has been added as manager of franchise sales development. She provides support to the team as a liaison to industry trade associations. Based in Houston, she has more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having specialized in franchising and hotel development strategies for global hotel chains.
Sarah Frank has joined the company as director of brand marketing and leads branding for the company, which includes creative services, traditional marketing, print media and advertising and the use of customer relationship management systems. She has more than seven years of experience specializing in sports marketing, consumer goods, hospitality technologies and hotels.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China. In what could only be seen as good news for the industry, that expectation moved a little closer to reality when President Obama signed a visa waiver extension for Chinese travelers earlier this month.
